Alfred Sant was the Prime Minister of Malta from 1996 to 1998 but it is mainly as an author of prose that he is best known nowadays, with many books and essays now in print.

This occasion is part of the celebration of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The author will be present to read his work in Maltese. The work will be read in Irish and English also at this unique event and there will be an opportunity for people to ask questions.
